For this advertising design project, our goal was to elevate a mass-market product through a photograph that would present it in an unexpected, artistic way. To highlight the packaging, it was essential to create a set design that harmonized with the product itself.

After putting together a moodboard of ideas and visual trends that inspired me, I decided to build an entirely handmade set using cut paper. Choosing sunscreen as the focus of the shoot guided my selection of papers in warm, sun-soaked tones, orange, beige, and brown, evoking summer, heat, and sunlight.

For the set, I crafted tropical-inspired flowers and foliage, along with a small alcove designed to house the product. During the photoshoot, I used this alcove and the paper shapes to play with light and shadow, drawing attention to the sunscreen. To complete the project, I carried out a few photo edits to achieve the desired final result.
